ADB Nexus connects one supported Android device to another device that you own or are authorized to manage. Start with the checks below. If the issue remains, contact us with a redacted diagnostic report.
Wireless debugging does not pair
- Confirm that the target device runs Android 11 or later and Wireless debugging is enabled in Developer options.
- Keep both devices on the same trusted local network. Guest Wi-Fi, client isolation, a hotspot, firewall rules, or a VPN can block discovery or pairing.
- Use the pairing IP address and pairing port shown by Android. The connection port displayed after pairing may be different.
- Enter the current pairing code before it expires. Pairing codes are temporary and ADB Nexus does not save them.
- If mDNS discovery does not show the device, enter its address and port manually.
USB OTG device is not detected
- Use a data-capable USB cable and an OTG adapter supported by the Android host device.
- Enable USB debugging on the target device.
- Unlock the target and approve its RSA authorization prompt after checking the fingerprint.
- Grant the USB permission requested by ADB Nexus. Reconnect the cable if Android does not show the prompt.
Discovery and connection checks
mDNS availability varies by Android version, device maker, and network. Manual host and port entry remains available. Subnet scanning runs only after a visible user action. Scan only networks and devices you are authorized to inspect.
Terminal or file operation failed
ADB permissions come from the target device. ADB Nexus cannot bypass Android authorization, root controls, SELinux, app sandboxing, file permissions, or manufacturer restrictions. Confirm the target path, available storage, connection state, and command support on that Android version.
Send a useful support report
Email info@metacyberguru.com with your ADB Nexus version, Android versions for both devices, connection method, the step that failed, and a redacted diagnostic report. Do not send pairing codes, passwords, private file paths, target-device output, or personal files.
