This app is a developer testing tool. It simulates a GPS position on your own device. It does not track you, and it does not send your real location to us.
The short version
Location information
The app asks for location permission for two reasons:
- To show where you are on the map, so you have a starting point to work from. This stays on the device.
- To publish a simulated position to Android while a simulation is running. That simulated position is generated by you, not measured from you.
The app does not run in the background collecting your movements. Simulation runs in a foreground service with a visible notification, so it is always obvious when it is active, and it stops when you stop it.
What stays on your device
- Saved places you add, with their labels and coordinates.
- Simulation history, including start and end points, distance and speed.
- Your preferences, such as default repeat mode and theme.
Google Sign-In and Drive backup
Signing in is optional and the core simulation features work without it. If you sign in, Google processes the authentication request and the app stores the returned account display information and authorization tokens on the device. MetaCyberGuru does not operate a separate account server for this app.
- Backup writes a file containing saved places and history directly to your own Google Drive.
- The app requests the
drive.filescope, which limits access to files the app created or that you explicitly open with it; it does not grant general access to the rest of your Drive. - You can revoke access from your Google account permissions page or sign out in the app.
Third-party services the app contacts
When you use a network-backed feature, the provider receives the request plus ordinary connection data such as your IP address and device/browser headers. The selected coordinates or search text may reveal a location of interest even when it is not your real position.

Advertising and consent
Where ads are enabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process the data described above for ad delivery, measurement, security and fraud prevention. A consent choice is presented where required and can be changed through the available privacy controls. Resetting or deleting the Android advertising ID does not erase data held by every provider; use the provider and in-app controls that apply to your request.
Children
This is a developer tool. It is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your control over your data
- Delete saved places and history from within the app at any time.
- Remove everything by uninstalling the app.
- Disconnect Drive by signing out or revoking access in your Google account.
- Stop simulating by pressing stop, or by deselecting the app in Developer options.
Responsible use
This app exists for testing software. Using a simulated location to mislead a service or another person may breach that service’s terms and may be unlawful where you live. How you use the tool is your responsibility.
Data retention and controller
Saved places, history and preferences remain on the device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Drive backups remain in your Google Drive until you remove them. Provider-side diagnostic, routing, map and advertising data is retained under each provider’s settings and policy; MetaCyberGuru does not claim a single retention period for independent services.

Security
Local app data is protected by Android’s app storage controls, and optional Drive transfers use Google’s authenticated connection. No method is risk-free: keep Android updated, protect the device with a screen lock and delete exported route files you no longer need.
